毗陀耶

 

 

Thành tựu vô thượng đại uy thần

Quang minh biến chiếu tịnh tuyệt phân

Chánh Giác Thế Tôn chấp pháp lệnh

Kết giới hộ giáo tối nghiêm sâm.

 

成就無上大威神

光明徧照淨絕氛

正覺世尊執法令

結界護教最嚴森

538. Pi Tuo Ye

 

Verse:

 

Accomplishing unsurpassed great awe-inspiring power.

Light shines everywhere to purify defilement.

The World Honored One of proper enlightenment executes the Dharma-decrees.

Establishing the sacred boundaries and protecting the teachings in the most solemn way.

 

 

Commentary:

 

Accomplishing unsurpassed great awe-inspiring power.

 

This line pertains to the Buddha Jewel of the Buddha Division. Buddhas are perfect in blessings and wisdom and adorned with myriad virtues. And they are replete with unsurpassed great awe-inspiring spiritual power.

 

Light shines everywhere to purify defilement.

 

His light shines in all places and causes them to be totally pure, auspicious, and devoid of all defilement.

 

The World Honored One of Proper Enlightenment executes the Dharma-decrees.

 

“Pi Tuo Ye” is also translated as the Tathagata Vairochana of Proper Enlightenment. He’s the World Honored One who executes and maintains the Dharma-decrees.

 

Establishing the sacred boundaries and protecting the teachings in the most solemn way.

 

This is the Great Bright Heart Mantra of the Clusters of Light at the Buddha’s Crown. At the site where the sacred boundaries have been established, everyone must strictly and solemnly protect and uphold the Proper Teachings and revere the Three Jewels. The site where these sacred boundaries have been set is most solemn and adorned. No one can have improper behavior.
