101. NI YẾT RA HA

尼羯囉訶

 

 

Lãnh tụ tam thừa thú chân như

Chúng trung thượng thủ tuyển Phật đồ

Nhẫn nhục tinh tấn Thánh Chủng Tánh

Viên mãn bất thoái quả thành thục.

 

領袖三乘趣真如

眾中上首選佛圖

忍辱精進聖種性

圓滿不退果成熟

NI JYE LA HE

NI YẾT RA HA

 

Leader of Three Vehicles, directs us to True Suchness.

As head of the assembly, he makes Buddha-plans.

Those with patience and vigor are in the line to Sagehood.

Perfecting non-retreat, their fruition ripens.

 

 

COMMENTARY:

 

NI means "leader." He, the leader of Three Vehicles, directs us to True Suchness. He leads those of the Buddha Vehicle, the Bodhisattva Vehicle, and the Arhat Vehicle to the ultimate Real Mark— to the principle and substance of True Suchness.

 

As head of the assembly, he makes Buddha-plans. This leader of the assembly of the Three Vehicles makes plans for Buddhas. He picks out the Buddhas.

 

Those with patience and vigor are in the line to Sagehood. They are in the lineage of sages. They have great good roots. Perfecting non-retreat, their fruition ripens. When merit is perfected and the fruit is ripe, then the position of non-retreat from Buddhahood matures.
