71. BỆ SA XÀ DA

鞞沙闍耶

 

 

Đông phương Dược Sư Lưu Ly Quang

Phổ độ hữu duyên nhập bỉ bang

Tăng phước tiêu tai diên trường thọ

Xưng danh lễ kính kiến Pháp Vương.

 

東方藥師琉璃光

普度有緣入彼邦

增福消災延長壽

稱名禮敬見法王

BI SHA SHE YE

 

Medicine Master Crystal Light in the east,

Takes all those with conditions to the other side,

Increasing blessings, eradicating disasters, and lengthening life.

When you say his name or bow reverently, you see the Dharma king.

 

COMMENTARY:

 

Medicine Master Crystal Light in the east,/ In the Eastern World of Pure Crystal is the Buddha Medicine Master Crystal Light.

 

He takes all those with conditions to the other side,/ All those with whom he has affinities are saved and taken to the other shore.

 

Increasing blessings, eradicating disasters, and lengthening life/ is his work.

 

When you say his name or bow reverently, you see the Dharma king./ When you pay homage to the Buddha Medicine Master, your blessings grow and you avoid disasters and also lengthen your life. When you recite his name, saying, "Namo Medicine Master Buddha who destroys calamities and lengthens life," you increase blessings and lengthen life. When  you bow respectfully, you may see that Buddha. 

The Path of all the Buddhas is the same. They share the same Dharma Body. Why are we people? It is because we make so many discriminations. We think, "This is yours; that is mine, and that's theirs." Because we have so many discriminations and attachments, we turn out to be people. The Buddhas have no attachments whatsoever, and so they become Buddhas. If living beings wish to be Buddhas, they must break all attachments--break through attachments to self and to dharmas. They have to stop the mind so that they can realize the true self-nature, the "heavenly-true Buddha of the basic self-nature."
